I think this is our second time eating here. Initial time was in 2016. It's just as great, if not better as I remember it. This time (can't remember what we ordered way back when) I had the French toast combo and my loving spouse had the chef's special. The steak and eggs were good. Steak had a great flavor. Was tender and grilled to our liking. It came with some house made green "salsa". I really liked how it tasted with my scrambled eggs. Especially enjoyed the avocado in the sauce. The tortillas were piping hot and freshly made, but nothing to write home about in our opinion I enjoyed my French toast combo (four 1/2 slices of French toast, thick cut apple wood smoked bacon and eggs). We also ordered the daily muffin, which for today was KitKat Banana. Our drinks-Espresso Martini and Irish Coffee were a bit too strong for US. I do consider myself a light weight, especially after recently being deployed for several month. Staff were great and energetic. Right amount of attention for our liking. We sat outside and the ambiance was very calm, very chill, very...SOCAL

Very dependable restaurant! Good food, service and atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit platter when I last visited. I am sure that I will return soon.

My wife and I have been eating here since we were dating and we love this restaurant. We just came back from having breakfast and everything was delicious. The Green mole chilaquiles were delicious but a little salty but the egg balanced out the saltiness. The massive raspberry chocolate muffin was delicious and crunchy around the muffin top edges. We also ordered a table pancake and selected the lemon ricotta pancake with blueberry drizzle which was perfectly fluffy and delicious.

Such a cute little joint in university heights! A friend of mine picked this place and I am glad he did! It was lovely and didn't know how many times I've passed this place and never trued. I had a Irish coffee and a crab cake Benedict they weee both delish! I took a point off because the service was extremely slow.

A neighborhood institution, just revisited after a decade or two. The outside patio is still delightful. The service is superb. The food is pricey but good. One note: if you order the bagel with cream cheese and lox and onions and capers? The waiter did warn me that it wasn't technically lox, but smoked salmon. Okay. What I got was an arugula salad with a heap of smoked salmon and another heap of coarsely-chopped tomatoes with capers and basil, and some sliced red onions. And a plain bagel with cream cheese. All delicious, but it was a "disassembled" version of what I was expecting. Next time, I'll get what my friends ordered: the avocado toast with the added 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon.

My friends and I had a lovely Saturday brunch here! It's a cute neighborhood spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and the service was fairly quick. I really enjoyed the churro pancakes and my iced latte. The prices might be a bit higher but the portions are on the larger side and everything was super tasty!

The PH Chicken And Pancetta Gravy with grilled focaccia bread is basically a fancy version of creamed chipped beef on toast and it's amazing. I've only ordered something different twice since 2008. Hated the breakfast pizza, it was hard (the crust) and I'm not sure how all the ingredients were meant to "complement one another". That said, they still get a 5 star from me for the PHC&PG. If they still have a Captain Crunch pancake special, get that with the homemade peanut butter. Very good. Dinner and lunch are great too, but I almost exclusively go for breakfast or brunch.

Had to wait about 20 minutes around 11:45 on a Sunday (they quoted 45 mins, but got a table sooner) morning, so not bad at all. The server was a real gem. Fun to talk to and gave some good recommendations too. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (topped with house-made blueberry sauce and whipped butter) were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! So large and so fluffy and just so so good! The whipped butter on top went really well as well. 10/10 recommend this! PH Salad with Grilled Chicken - Absolutely loved the raspberry vinaigrette on this. It was so fresh and refreshing and actually quite thick like a between a jam and a vinaigrette. Not like those classic runny vinaigrettes which we actually appreciate. Pork Belly Benedict - Friend got this one. Very very large portion on this, and it looked really appetizing as well! He said it was nice, and very filling too, haha. Spicy Pork Chorizo Scramble (with red onion, tomato, Serrano peppers topped with Cotija cheese), with the roasted potatoes and toast. House mate got this and finished all the potatoes and toast, but not all of the scramble. She did say it was nice though. Also got the mimosa flight for the table and we were actually surprised by this one. - Pink Goddess (guava juice, strawberry & champagne) Was what we actually wanted to begin with but it turned out the other flavors were much better. The guava didn't come through so much in here and it was quite heavy on the alcohol. - Blueberry Stand (house made lemonade, blueberry puree & champagne) Very pretty and very delicious! It was like the perfect one for summer. - Applelicious (unfiltered apple juice, champagne, cinnamon-sugar rim) Was the best one of the lot! The server actually recommended this one to us and we were genuinely surprised. The cinnamon sugar ring added the perfect touch.

I had a gift certificate to this place.... It sat around for many years, but today was the day to be used, haha I informed the waiter about my certificate, and he was very gracious in honoring it, even though he had never seen one before, but said he had heard these things were floating around. It would've been nice to be outside on the patio, and everyone else had the same idea. I wanted solitude, so I sat inside. My server was very quick and attentive. I ordered some things to eat there, and some to go. I loved that the carnitas had the crunchy bits in it. I ate the portugués scramble at the table. Delicious fluffy eggs, bacon, onions, and peppercini, along with the cheese... so many flavors on the palette! The mashed potatoes with skin were pretty good. Buttery soft, with a pinch of salt. I don't think you can mess up on mashed potatoes, can you? Blueberry mango jam was different but amazing. My drink was the mexican mocha topped with brown sugar crystals. Everything was worth the trip, and the price couldn't be beat. I would come here without a coupon/certificate, and if you know me, that's saying something. Wish I took more pictures to show you guys, but I was hungrier than a narcissist's ego.
